It is said that, in the lands of Marina Serra, a young prince dominated with iron hand, executing without mercy those who dared to oppose his wishes. When the inhabitants of the village asked the despot to erect a church in honor of the Saints Medici, he, disregarding their demands, made a pact with the dark forces.

The prince invoked the devil, pleading with him to build the sanctuary in one night. In return, he promised the infernal entity a consecrated host and a sacrificed animal. Satan accepted the proposal and, with his supernatural power, erected the church in the middle of the night.

However, the evil ruler did not keep his part of the bargain. The devil, furious at the deception, unleashed a fierce storm that shook the earth and squashed the sacred building. The roar of the infernal fury made the bells fall from the tower of the church, and they fell into the waters of the sea.

The bells sank deep, creating a mysterious and suggestive seabed. Even today, it is said that on windy days, the distant sound of the immersed bells spreads through the air, reminding residents and visitors of the story of a broken pact and a supernatural revenge.

Useful tips for visiting the natural pool of Marina Serra

Marina Serra stands out as a wild and unique paradise, where rugged rocks and unspoiled nature reign supreme.
